What to Pack in Your Wedding Day Emergency Kit

Wedding Day Tips

It feels like everything is set- RSVP’s have been collected, bills have been paid, and Uncle Bob has been sent the hotel address for the fifth time. The butterflies are fluttering as your big day inches closer as you prep to take the plunge into a lifetime of happiness with your special someone. As an industry professional for over a decade, I can honestly say that the ‘perfect’ day with no hiccups is one in one thousand. Not to cause any unwanted urgency, as I’m referencing little things. Sore joints, loose hems, lipstick smudges – nothing earth shattering, but things you can easily prep for. Below is a list of what I think are wedding day must haves that will help your moment in the sun go a lot smoother.

  • Scissors – the number one thing I see needed at almost every wedding
  • Fabric tape for when anyone in your bridal party may need a dress to stay put

  • Pain relievers for any sore joints or headaches that may come from the rehearsal dinner after party
  • Band Aids because though your shoes look amazing, we all know they aren’t broken in!

  • Hair ties and bobby pins to pull your hair back as you tear up the dance floor.
  • Tide to Go Pen to tackle those unwanted wine stains

  • Deodorant because who doesn’t need to occasionally ‘freshen up.’
  • Feminine products – no explanation needed.

  • Electrolytes because a little LiquidIV never hurt anyone
  • Crochet hook to help your maid of honor button up your dress

  • Q-Tips to fix any makeup smudges
